How to measure your door opening for made to measure bi-fold doors

Simply measure the height and width of your door casing (in mm) as shown in Figure A or Figure B above.

When manufacturing your made to measure bi-fold door we make allowances for your track and the clearance required for the correct operation. All tolerances are to allow for ease of opening and closing.

Please note: Your door will arrive 37mm shorter and 12mm slimmer than your measured height and width – Don’t worry – it’s the allowance for your track and the opening and closing of your door. Bi-fold doors are designed only for top hanging in conjunction with the supplied track and flush hinges provided.

Larger Openings

In some cases you may have a wider opening that is too large for one door to fill. We can create 2 sets of bi-fold doors to fit side by side within the same opening. Both bi-folds will both open into the same room, one to the left and one to the right side of the frame.
We suggest you divide your width measurement by 2 and put this into the order form above, along with the full height measurement. Please then select the quantity as 2.
Please fill out your full opening size in the ‘order note’ box at checkout and our joiner will ensure that he makes your doors with the correct allowances to fit the 2 sets of bi-folds into your opening.
